OCULUS
Another one of "those shots" of the Oculus (and one of my personal favourite views of the structure). This time, I've painstakingly removed over 500 shoppers from the scene to highlight the elegance and beauty of this stunning structure. Check out my editing process over on my YouTube! - Standing 160ft tall, the Oculus is an impressive entrance to the World Trade Center site. Every September 11th, the "spine" skylight (forming the backbone of a dove in flight) opens to allow a beam of light to shine on the floor at exactly 10:28, the time the North Tower collapsed, in remembrance of those who lost their lives.
  4th August 2019
Nikon D5500 | 18.0-55.0 mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 | 18mm / ƒ/22 / 1/3s / ISO 100
